The Reunion is Coming
The University of Richmond Rugby Football Club invites all alumni to return to Richmond for a weekend of rugby, camaraderie, and celebration. Final dates will be confirmed in July — mark your calendars for late Fall 2026.
The weekend will coincide with the 2026 Capital Cup, our annual match against Virginia Commonwealth University. It will also be an opportunity to properly recognize two coaches who shaped this club — Carl Schmitt and Matt Wilson — and mentored a generation of young men.

Matt Wilson brought the spirit of English rugby to Richmond in 2002 and never left — spending 21 years as the steady backbone of Spider Rugby.
